Fashion Revolution Week & Earth Day with Rntr.

Fashion Revolution Week is an annual campaign bringing together the world's largest fashion activism movement for seven days of action.

This year from the 18th - 24th April, they will collectively reimagine a just and equitable fashion system for people and the planet.

Their theme for this year is MONEY FASHION POWER. The fashion industry is built on the exploitation of people for money and power. Throughout Fashion Revolution Week they'll be events, speakers and more inspiring brands and consumers to make change.

Now is the time for a fashion revolution and Rntr. is so ecstatic to be a part of it! It’s also Earth Day this Thursday. What is Earth Day?

We need to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by mid-century to keep the global temperature below 1,5°C. While the focus has primarily been on reducing fossil fuel dependency, there is no viable route to limiting global warming and building resilience without urgently protecting, managing, and restoring nature.

Earth Day events will talk to how nature-based solutions can help us deliver a third of the greenhouse gas reductions needed by 2030 to meet the Paris Agreement. With all of these amazing sustainability in fashion initiatives happening this week, we wanted to touch on WHY Rntr. is so great for the planet, our wardrobes and our wallets.

We value accessibility over ownership so does our community, by centralising the garments we ensure the highest level of the care. Together with technology and community, we increase the utilisation and prolong the life cycle of each garment. When it comes to discarding the retired items we partner with experts and companies such as Blocktexx to ensure that each garment is entered back into the loop and gets reused again.
