The rapid change in consumer behaviour creates a necessary need for fashion brands to adapt and shift with the movement.
Take back Ownership
Season after season brands are struggling to maximise their ROI for each collection as trends move rapidly. Items are often being discounted and many are left unsold.
At the same time, more and more consumers are participating in re-commerce (rental + resale), shifting towards responsible consumption.
The re-commerce economy benefits purely from designers’ items and their brand equity. While the economy is growing faster than fast fashion — fashion brands are completely cut out.
But for brands to tap into the benefits of rental and resale (New customer acquisition, loyalty, data, increased ROI efficiencies…), it can be costly and complex if done in house.
That’s why we founded Rntr. We want every brand to have the opportunity to step into and profit from the circular economy while owning the re-commerce experience for their brand.
About Us
Enter — Rntr.
Our vision is to create a sustainable and profitable fashion ecosystem that is accessible to everyone.
Rntr. is here to change the narrative. To drive the circular economy further by enabling brands to take ownership of re-commerce (brand experience, customer database, profits and data) and connect directly to their consumers.
When we enable brands to earn more with less items, they can produce less and engage deeper and wider with their community.
Ultimately, we are here to help brands future-proof their business, reduce waste and empower consumers to continue wearing the brands they love with less impact on the environment.
Our Vision
Founder Story
‘I have nothing to wear’ said EVERY. WOMEN. EVER. - not gonna lie, that’s me most mornings.
And then I often ask myself ‘How do I have nothing to wear?’ when…
- 100 Billion items of clothing are being produced annually
- 40% of clothes purchased is never used
- 6000kg of textile waste goes to the landfill EVERY. TEN. MINUTES. In Australia
Hi, I’m Shanya, the founder of Rntr.
I saw the disconnection between consumers and brands, and I wondered if there was a better way. I then decided I’m going to find out.
I created Rntr. with a purpose of reconnecting fashion brands with their community and to take back ownership; keeping profits with the brand in a booming re-commerce industry — so that together we can change the direction the industry is heading for the better.
I’m a strong believer that circularity is the key to the solution. The re-commerce (rental + resale) economy is growing faster than fast fashion, it’s a massive economy that benefits purely from designers’ items and their brand equity — while fashion brands are completely cut out of the game.
Rntr. is here to change the narrative. We are here to drive the re-commerce economy further by enabling fashion brands to take a cut and connect directly to their consumers. Brands can earn more from one garment and consumers can rent directly from their favourite brands — so simple.
This one simple change can significantly influence the future of the fashion industry.
